The board of directors of Hands-on-House Children’s Museum announce the hiring of Jim Bland as the new Executive Director effective July 8th.
“We are excited to bring on Jim and start a new chapter at Hands-on House. His experience with museums and teaching combined with years of marketing and business management experience is just what we need moving forward,” said Justin Manning, Board Chair for the Museum. Bland replaces Julia Connolly who successfully served in the role for nearly three years until moving with her family out of the area.
“We are fortunate to have a team of staff and volunteers who value education and who are dedicated to helping kids play to learn. Together we will continue to create innovative, developmentally appropriate opportunities in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) that engage young minds and put smiles on the faces of all our visitors,” remarked Bland.
Originally from New Jersey, Bland currently lives in Mountville, PA and has been a resident of Lancaster County for nearly 30 years with his wife and four children.
