Welcome to the Clubhouse Art Studio, a place for learning, self-expression and fun! In Art Studio classes, led by our Art Education Coordinator, children will learn a range of art skills and techniques and have the chance to explore a multitude of media including painting, ceramics, printmaking and more. Space is limited. Advance registration is required.
Clay Frogs

Leap toward spring with these cute critters.  In this class, students will learn to use model magic clay to create their very own frogs.

$5 for members; $10 for non-members. Class cost is not included in daily museum admission.

If the child is between ages 3 and 5, a parent should stay with them for the class. If they are 6 or older, they may be left alone for the class.

Monet’s Garden

In this class, we will learn about Claude Monet, one of the great Impressionist painters. We will look at some of his artwork and discuss the colors he used and subjects he painted. We will also create our own unique version of his Bridge over a Pond of  Water Lilies painting.

Spring Butterflies

It’s time to emerge from our cocoons!  This critter, too, is ready to unveil its beauty. In this class, we will be making some very colorful butterflies. We will be using a mix of different materials to create our artwork.

Leprechaun Gardens

Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! Join Miss Gabby to create a miniature, magical garden … and perhaps the little Leprechaun will stay all year!

Dot Flowers

Spring time means flowers all around! This class we will be learning all about dots and a few artists who love painting dots to create incredible works of art. Our artwork will be made from items that create all different sizes of dots to create a unique and dot-filled flower garden

Mixed Media Rainbow

Spring just isn’t spring without a rainbow!  Join Miss Gabby in creating a mixed media rainbow creation. We will learn about the colors in a rainbow and talk about why a rainbow appears after it rains.

Milk Carton Bird House

In this class, we will be using recycled materials to make a bird feeder house. Students will get to paint their own bird feeder and even fill it with food for their backyard birds!

Recycled Flower Garden

Recycled art is a great way to be creative and be kind to the environment. In this class, we will be using egg cartons as our garden bed. We will use scrap papers and popsicle sticks to create our flowers for the garden.

During Open Art times, children have the chance to explore different art workspaces, from simple planned projects to drawing with pastels or making a beautiful watercolor painting. This is the place for kids to let their imaginations run wild. Want to try a new media? Miss Gabby will always be in the room to help while showing new, exciting demos on how to make more unique artwork!

Bear Shadow
