Welcome to the Clubhouse Art Studio, a place for learning, self-expression and fun! In Art Studio classes, led by our Art Education Coordinator, children will learn a range of art skills and techniques and have the chance to explore a multitude of media including painting, ceramics, printmaking and more. Space is limited. Advance registration is required.
Van Gogh’s Sunflowers

Sunflowers brighten up a late summer landscape, so we are going to observe sunflower paintings by Vincent Van Gogh and create an artwork in oil pastel inspired by them.

Talk Like A Pirate Day: Pirate Ship Paintings

Paint a high seas adventure with us complete with your own pirate ship! We will hoist the Jolly Roger flag on your ship when it is all done. Pirate costumes are welcome, but remember: Painting is messy!

Marbled Fall Leaves

The Workshop is a drop-in space where kids work together with their grown-ups to tinker, make, and design using an ever-changing collection of materials. Use the space as an open studio or try a guided design prompt.

Dream up your own creations with an array of materials or follow a prompt! Guided activities for the month of September include Collage Cubes, A School of Fish & Recyclables Sculpture Challenge.

Farmer Brown Goes Round and Round

Farmer Brown heard thunder drumming, lightning flashed, the air was humming. “Look out”, he cried. “A twister’s coming!” That twister whisked the rooster, cat, and hound right up into the air along with Farmer Brown. But when they landed, safe and sound, the animal’s sounds turned upside down! Will this farm ever be right again?

Who Took the Farmer’s Hat?

The farmer had a hat, an old brown hat. Oh, how he liked that old brown hat! But then the wind came and blew that hat away. As fast as the farmer ran to chase it, the wind blew even faster. Will the farmer ever find his favorite hat? Following the story, we’ll experiment with the power of wind.

Come join us for STEM Explorers on Thursday mornings! Geared towards kids ages 3-6, STEM Explorers will focus on hands-on learning around subjects like science, technology, engineering, and math. Kids will actively investigate, experiment, and problem solve in this class as they learn STEM Habits of Mind that encourage creativity and discovery. Each class will include learning time, a hands-on activity, and guided play in the Play Lab.
Harvest Time

Discover what fruits and vegetables are harvested on farms in the fall, learn about the difference between fruits and vegetables, and dissect some fall produce.
